For 30 years the ALSG certified MIMMS course has led the way in delivering standardised major incident training. This course is delivered by an experienced faculty and blends short lectures, skills stations, table-top and practical exercises.
The aim of this course is to develop skills in the structured response to a major incident using a systematic 'all hazards' approach. Content includes introduction to major incidents, the role of health & emergency services, planning & preparation, communications, radio procedures and major incident triage.
The course provides essential skills for anyone involved in the planning of, or the response to, major incidents. There are no prerequisites to attending but is best suited to those from medical, paramedic or nursing backgrounds as well as those who are involved in event medical cover.

Please note this course includes a day of e-learning and pre-course knowledge checks which must be completed prior to attending the face-to-face element. All information on how to access the e-learning will be included in the pre-course joining instructions. Please ensure you have completed the pre-course MCQ prior to attendance on the course.
On day 2 the afternoon will be spend conducting a practical exercise without casualties (PEWC) either a football stadium or ferry. Details will be given closer to the course however candidates should be prepared to travel for the purposes of this exercise. It is not necessary to return to ECS HQ following the conclusion of this exercise.
