The ALSG Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS) Course provides the knowledge and skills required to manage children with life-threatening emergencies. It covers the management of the acutely unwell, the acutely injured child and paediatric cardiac arrest. In addition it consolidates a range of essential practical skills including advanced airway management, intraosseous access, stabilisation of the injured child and chest procedures.
This is 2 day course with a flexible online learning component to be completed prior to the face-to-face element. This e-learning can be done flexibly at your own pace and takes a minimum of 8 hours to complete.
This course is ideal for any Practitioner who routinely deals with the acutely unwell or injured child. It is suitable for Doctors who work in Paediatrics/Emergency Departments/Anaesthetics/Critical Care as well as senior Nurses, Paramedics and Clinical Practitioners.
ALSG recommend a minimum of 4 weeks to prepare for the course - it is not advised to book with less notice than this.
